At Ohio Home Birth,
We respect your decisions and wishes.
We believe in autonomy and informed consent.
We believe that birth is a natural, physiological process.
We believe that who you choose to safeguard your birth is one of the most important aspects of your experience.
We believe in protecting your rights as parents, your privacy, and your desires with regard to how you bring your child into the world.
We believe in answering your questions with evidence based research.
We believe in providing true partnership to assist YOUR decision making with regard to your pregnancy and birth journey.
We believe that being a provider of safeguard, it is our job to give you continuity of care if your low risk, physiologically normal pregnancy becomes a medical event. You will get to know your midwife and she will see you through even if your care is transferred due to medical issues. She will stay by your side and provide doula support if needed.
We believe that families are defined many different ways and have many different cultural and social needs. We strive to make everyone feel seen, heard and respected while giving the very best partnership in care for the safety and desired outcomes for your family.
With Ohio Home Birth, you can trust that your birth experience and personal matters will be handled with professionalism, integrity, and the utmost discretion. I commit to being available on-call starting at 37 weeks and provide labor support beginning either at home or in your chosen birth place. Being a source of comfort during this very important experience is an honor. I do so with respect and reverence.
